Skopje
Walk along the river towards the heart of Skopje, the Republic of Macedonia’s capital, and you’ll quickly find yourself among a host of gleaming, neo-classical buildings.
This place is where you meet old and new, traditional and modern. It is a city that draws its energy and life.
Places are always that much better when you are hanging with friends so really glad I was able to meet the cool people who I did while I was there. but there’s something about Macedonians that I really like. They have a good sense of humor and were just so damn welcoming everywhere I went.
People who come to visit Macedonia should definitely go for a road trip to Skopje and experience this lovely city. It is very diferent from Zagreb, as Zagreb is not on the river, but rather beside it.
